A For-Profit Company with a Non-Profit Heart
At BSI, we believe that true business success goes beyond delivering exceptional services – it’s about making a meaningful difference in the communities we serve. Founded by CEO Tony DaRe, our team has always embraced a philanthropic approach, where giving back to the community is woven into the very fabric of our culture. Tony’s passion for corporate volunteerism has inspired a company-wide commitment to support local organizations, empowering our team to create lasting change.
“The bottom line on a financial spreadsheet simply does not matter if an organization is not doing its part to make its community stronger.” – Tony DaRe, CEO
We proudly consider ourselves a for-profit company with a nonprofit heart. Our team is not only encouraged but also supported in taking time off to volunteer, serve on boards, and lend our expertise to nonprofits in need. Together, we help drive their missions forward by making a positive impact on the community at large.

Every year, our organization partners with over 75 local nonprofits, including Habitat for Humanity, Phoebe Ministries, Wilkes University, KidsPeace, Valley Youth House, LifePath and The Arc, among others. In 2024, we took our commitment a step further by opening our new office space to our nonprofit partners, offering them a place to host meetings, events, and important initiatives – such as monthly blood drives with the Miller-Keystone Blood Center.
We’re very proud of our annual internal drive to support the United Way, which has achieved 100% employee participation since 2019. Each employee donates to a cause they care about, helping to raise funds that directly supports a variety of nonprofits.
In 2024, Tony and his wife Adrienne co-chaired the United Way campaign for the Lehigh Valley chapter, raising an extraordinary $25 million to address critical community challenges like mental health, food security, and housing. This funding has already connected over 120,000 people to vital services, ensuring that children, older adults, and families receive the care and resources they need to thrive.
At BSI, we’re not just focused on delivering exceptional health and benefits consulting; we’re equally dedicated to the success and well-being of our community. It’s not just what we do – it’s who we are.
