An Advocate For Our Clients On A Human And Financial Level

BSI Corporate Benefits was founded in 2003 by CEO Tony DaRe, whose prior experience with Geisinger Health Plan and the University of Michigan M-Care provided deep insight into the insurance and healthcare landscape. Recognizing that employers needed a true advocate rather than a carrier-aligned vendor, Tony established BSI with a mission to support clients from both a human and financial perspective.

Today, BSI is a privately held national employee benefits consulting firm headquartered in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Our team brings extensive expertise in employee benefits strategy, compliance, analytics, population health, and risk management, allowing us to deliver thoughtful, customized solutions to employers of all sizes across the country.

A Trusted National Partner Offering Tailored Solutions For Every Client

We serve a broad spectrum of clients–from small businesses to large corporations–across the United States. We design tailored solutions that address each client’s unique needs and objectives. Our headquarters are in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, with regional offices in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Michigan. We are trusted to manage nearly $1 billion in healthcare spend for our clients annually, and maintain strong partnerships with national carriers like Capital Blue Cross, Highmark Blue Shield, Mutual of Omaha, Aetna, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare. These relationships, combined with our reputation and expertise, allow us to consistently deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Our Client-First Focus Scores an Industry-Leading 94 NPS

At BSI, “client-first” isn’t just a phrase–it’s how we operate every day. We roll up our sleeves, get hands-on with our clients, and keep the lines of communication wide open. This relentless focus on partnership sparks real feedback, fuels innovation, and delivers results you can measure. The proof? Our 2025 Net Promoter Score is a sky-high 94-while most employee benefits firms consider an NPS of 10 to 30 “good,” and anything above 50 “excellent.” Scores above 70 are almost unheard of in this industry, making our 93.6 a true outlier. That’s not just a number–it’s a testament to our commitment to client satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term success.

Our Independence Matters for Your Business

Today, we proudly remain fiercely independent–a privately owned national firm specializing in employee benefits. But independence isn’t just a label for us; it’s the backbone of how we serve you. As an independent broker, we answer only to our clients, not to shareholders or insurance carriers. That means our advice is unbiased, our solutions are tailored to your unique needs, and our loyalty is always with you.

Setting the Standard and Winning Big Along the Way

We’re proud that BSI is widely respected across the employee benefits landscape for excellence and innovation. We’ve been honored with awards such as the MarshBerry MAX Performer Award, recognizing us as the top employee benefits consulting firm in the Eastern U.S. We’ve also been named “Best Benefits Consulting Firm,” “Fastest Growing,” and have appeared on the Inc. 5000 and Best Places to Work lists for several consecutive years. These accolades reflect our unwavering commitment to client success, cutting-edge benefits strategies, and a dynamic, employee-focused culture.

Giving Back Is in Our DNA

Though we’re a for-profit company, our nonprofit spirit drives everything we do. Since day one, we’ve passionately supported local communities, backing over 75 charities with 100% employee participation in our annual United Way campaign. In 2024, Tony DaRe, his wife, the BSI team, and supporters raised more than $25 million for United Way in the Lehigh Valley. Beyond donations, we actively contribute time and resources to make a real difference where we live and work.

Annual CORE Seminar-4

BSI brings a great deal of expertise and options that have improved our employee benefits experience. They also understand the importance and impact of non-profit organizations to the community and work in partnership to help us fulfill our mission.
