  • Shawn serves as Executive Vice President of Client Retention at BSI Corporate Benefits. He plays a pivotal role in ensuring the satisfaction and loyalty of all BSI clients. Reporting directly to the CEO, he is responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance client retention and drive long-term growth for the organization.
  • Serving as a trusted advisor, Shawn provides leadership and guidance to his team by fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. He works cross-functionally with the account, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure alignment and seamless delivery of services to clients.

Sarah Michaels, RN, CPBS

  • Sarah serves as a Chief Clinical Officer who oversees a multidisciplinary team of clinicians at BSI, working alongside data analysts and financial professionals to improve member health outcomes while reducing healthcare costs. With more than a decade of experience spanning clinical care in the employee benefits space, Sarah brings a data-driven, pragmatic approach to population health management, balancing compassionate care with measurable financial impact.
  • In her role, Sarah partners closely with her team to design and implement comprehensive health and wellness strategies that address risk at both the population and individual levels. Leveraging advanced analytics and predictive modeling, her team identifies high-risk members, drives targeted interventions, and delivers actionable insights that support renewal strategy and long-term cost containment.
  • Sarah remains deeply connected to frontline care. As a practicing PRN, her continued clinical work grounds her leadership in real-world patient needs and reinforces her commitment to translating data into practical, human-centered solutions. Sarah received her bachelor’s degree from Anderson University.

Catherine Kirkhoff

  • Catherine works with our team and wellness vendors to help clients implement, manage, and measure their health and wellness initiatives. She oversees the day-to-day activities of a team of analysts and clinicians who drive the strategy and execution of BSI’s Health Solutions Practice (HSP). Catherine brings extensive experience in public health and health education, and she holds CHES and CLS certifications, which support her work in designing and delivering impactful programs for clients.
